Comets Women’s Soccer Posts Impressive Academic Results
Western Iowa Tech women’s soccer student-athletes were recognized for their success in the classroom as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) released its Fall 2025 Academic All-Region selections on Thursday.
The Academic All-Region honors celebrate student-athletes who excel academically during the fall semester. Across the conference, more than 2,700 student-athletes earned recognition, including over 1,700 First Team honorees and nearly 1,000 named to the Second Team.
The Comets women’s soccer program stood out with 16 of its 18 players earning Academic All-Region honors, underscoring the team’s strong commitment to academics alongside athletic competition.
Academic All-Region Criteria (Region 11)
- First Team: GPA of 3.5–4.0
- Second Team: GPA of 3.0–3.49
- Minimum NJCAA-required credit hours
- Highest of cumulative or semester GPA used
- Honors awarded each semester for every sport
